There comes a time in everyone’s life where a nose hair trimmer goes from a joke to an absolute necessity. Rather than going through the eye watering process of plucking those troublesome hairs with a tweezer invest in a trimmer to make it an easy and painless process.
But you don’t want to to be sticking any old thing up your nose, or in your ears for that matter, so we’ve collected together the best nose hair and ear hair trimmers for keeping you looking sharp without drawing any tears.
Philips NT3160/10 Nose Hair, Ear Hair and Eyebrow Trimmer Series 3000
This trimmer from Philips is a fantastic option for a reasonable price. Suitable for use on your nose, ears and eyebrows – if you don’t mind using the same trimmer for all three – it’s well built and cuts hairs cleanly, avoiding pulling hairs and causing needless discomfort.
The cutting section is angled to make it easy to get into the right places and it has protected cutting slots to prevent it snagging on your skin. It also comes with two eyebrow combs so you don’t have to worry about slipping and taking the whole brow off in one go.
It’s waterproof so you can use it in the shower and not worry about where you put it in the bathroom, and the soft grip handle makes it easier to keep hold of when wet.
Remington NE3450 Nose and Ear Trimmer
This trimmer has two settings, a rotary trimmer for nose and ear hair as well as a vertical trimmer that can be used for eyebrow, nose and ear hair. Using “NanoSilver Anti-Microbial” materials it aims to reduce bacterial growth making it more hygienic.
It has an easy wash out feature and it is completely waterproof so you can use it anywhere in the bathroom without worrying about damaging it, plus it even has a loop for easy storage in the shower.
It is shaped to provide a decent grip when wet, and while it does feel quite lightweight and plastic, it doesn’t feel like it will easily break.
Panasonic Vacuum Wet/Dry Ear and Nose Hair Trimmer ER430K
If you want something a bit more sophisticated, this trimmer from Panasonic includes a vacuum to capture all the hairs as you trim them. This aims to prevent them falling out at inopportune times or causing a mess as you use it. This does do a good job, although whether or not it’s something you need will be up to you.
The two cutting blades are set at 60 degrees to help prevent pulling and provide a clean cut, with an extra edge on the top of the blade as well to trim as many hairs as possible. The hypoallergenic blades are housed within a standard rotary head so you don’t have to worry about catching your skin.
It’s a bit bulkier than other trimmers – thanks to the vacuum mechanism – making the design look a bit clunky, but it’s still easy to hold in one hand and how stylish does a nose hair trimmer have to look anyway?
Hlyoon Resun 3 in 1 Waterproof Stainless Steel Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer
If you do want something with a bit more style that’s going to look good on the bathroom counter this model from Hyloon is an excellent choice. It’s a bit more expensive than the other models on our list, but with three different heads and a great look it is a good investment.
It has a rotary head for nose hair and vertical and horizontal heads for ear hair, eyebrows, sideburns and mustaches. All of the heads and the body of the trimmer are waterproof making them easy to clean by rinsing, as well as by using the supplied cleaning brush.
It comes with a base for storage that holds the trimmer, the 3 heads and the cleaning brush neatly. Each part is well made, with the stainless steel trimmer body feeling particularly substantial.
